Weather Situation
At 10 am AEST, Tropical Cyclone Jasmine [984 hPa] was located over the Coral Sea
approximately 390 nautical miles east of Cairns and moving east southeas at 7
knots. The cyclone will continue to move east southeast away from the Queensland
coast during the forecast period.

Peninsula Waters, Torres Strait to Cooktown:
Sunday until midnight:  Winds: North of Cape Grenville: W to NW 20 to 25 knots.
South of Cape Grenville: W to NW 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 2.2 metres through Torres
Strait and 1.3 to 1.8 metres elsewhere. Swell: NW 1.5 to 2 metres in Torres
Strait. Isolated showers.
Monday:  Winds: W to NW 15 to 20 knots, reaching 20 to 25 knots north of Cape
Grenville.  Seas: 2.2 metres through Torres Strait and 1.3 to 1.8 metres
elsewhere. Swell: NW 1.5 to 2 metres in Torres Strait. Isolated showers.
Tuesday:  Winds: W to NW 10 to 15 knots, reaching 15 to 20 knots north of Cape
Grenville.
Wednesday:  Winds: SW to NW 10 to 15 knots.

North Tropical Waters, Cooktown to Cardwell:
Sunday until midnight:  Winds: NW to NE 10 to 15 knots. Seas: 1.0 metres. Swell:
NW 1.5 metres outside the reef.
Monday:  Winds: Variable 5 to 10 knots, tending W to NW 10 to 15 knots north of
Cape Tribulation. Afternoon sea breezes inshore. Seas: 0.7 to 1.2 metres outside
the reef, 0.5 metre inside the reef. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. 
Tuesday:  Winds: Variable 5 to 10 knots, afternoon sea breezes.  
Wednesday:  Winds: Variable 5 to 10 knots, becoming S to SE 5 to 15 knots during
the afternoon.

Tropical Waters, Cardwell to Bowen:
Sunday until midnight:  Winds: Variable 5 to 10 knots with inshore NE sea
breezes 10 to 15 knots. Seas: 0.7 metres in open waters. Swell: SE 1.5 metres in
open waters. Isolated showers.
Monday:  Winds: Variable 5 to 10 knots with afternoon sea breezes 10 to 15 knots
inshore. Seas: 0.5 metre.  Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. 
Tuesday:  Winds: Variable 5 to 10 knots, afternoon sea breezes. 
Wednesday:  Winds: S to SE 5 to 10 knots, with afternoon NE sea breezes inshore.

Central Coast Waters, Bowen to St Lawrence:
Sunday until midnight:  Winds: SE 10 to 15 knots with afternoon NE sea breezes
10 to 15 knots inshore. Seas: 1.2 metres. Swell: SE 2 metres in open waters.
Monday:  Winds: NW to NE 5 to 10 knots, increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the
afternoon. Seas: 1.0 metres. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. 
Tuesday:  Winds: NW to NE 10 to 15 knots, becoming SE to NE 10 to 15 knots in
the evening.
Wednesday:  Winds: E to SE 10 to 15 knots.
