Weather Situation At 10 am AEST, Tropical Cyclone Jasmine [984 hPa] was located over the Coral Sea approximately 390 nautical miles east of Cairns and moving east southeast at 7 knots. The cyclone will continue to move east southeast away from the Queensland coast during the forecast period. Forecast Sunday until midnight: Winds: SE 15 to 20 knots, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots during the evening. Seas: 1.2 to 1.7 metres in the Capricorn Channel. Swell: SE 2 metres in the Capricorn Channel. Monday: Winds: SW to SE 10 to 15 knots, tending NW to NE 10 to 15 knots over western parts during the afternoon. Seas: 1.2 metres in the Capricorn Channel. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Tuesday: Winds: Light and variable 5 to 10 knots.
